Piedmont Park (Plein Air week painting #2)
Painted in Piedmont Park (Atlanta, GA) using ink on watercolor paper. I joined the VAHi Plein Air Painting Group this year and for a week we painted at Piedmont Park. I realized I had been around the country painting outside, but had not yet painted in Atlanta. This part of the park is the view from the athletic circle with the Midtown skyline in the background. I sat on the stairs in this tucked away spot in the trees and painted this scene. It truly reminds me that Atlanta is the city of trees.
